Elizabeth was raised in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. She is best known for her classically beautiful floral Still Life but also enjoys painting portraits and capturing the soul of a person. As a child, her Grandmothers would help her identify various wildflowers at their cabin above Oakley, Utah. This is where her love of flowers began. "I still have the book where I pressed and categorized wildflowers that my paternal Grandmother helped me with."
She has won numerous awards including "Best Still Life" and "Best of Show" at the National Oil and Acrylic Painter's Exhibit and the "Tuffy Berg Award" at the 2008 CM Russell auction. She is a Master Member of the Oil Painters of America and A Master Signature Member of the American Women Artists and the National Oil and Acrylic Painter's Society
Robbins has been featured in Southwest Art, The Artist Magazine, American Art Collector, Western Art Collector and Art of the West

" As a contemporary landscape painter, my work is a conscious play of mood, light and color, but as a naturalist raised and rooted in the diverse landscapes of western America, a painting means more than a location to me. Each place is an encounter with the land, the trees, and the waters which have always given me a sense of connection and order. When a location intrigues and inspires me, I paint the scene into a series using a range of keys or themes, experimenting and searching to learn more about the natural threads that tie the landscape together with complexity, subtlety and⎯more importantly⎯balance. I look for new ways to express relationships and depth with layers of paint, brushwork, gradations, and diffusions of light. My intention is to bring the viewer closer to an honest translation⎯of both soul and land." - Shanna Kunz

Learn about painting with Beeswax! Encaustic art is painting with a specific mixture of beeswax and damar resin. Painting with hot, melted was, incorporating photography, oil paints, pan-pastels and ink. She loves the smell of the melted beeswax that fills her studio.
The process requires Shari to have both patience and spontaneity. It’s a rare marriage of being in control and completely losing control. it’s labor-intensive, and there are many steps involved. What Shari loves most about encaustic is that the outcome is a dreamy, ethereal image with texture and appeal, unlike any other art form.
Shari is often drawn to the imagery and symbolism of trees, but she often also plays with beautiful loose landscapes and imagery of the divine feminine. Her pieces can be found in private collections in Canada, throughout the US and in Europe. Together with her husband who is also an artist, they love to support and mentor young or emerging artists, create community and travel the world.

Carol Granger spent her childhood on a farm in Indiana where she loved exploring outdoors, playing in mud, building tree houses, and riding horses. She developed a love of drawing at an early age and spent lots of time doodling and dreaming on paper. She studied art education and commercial interior design at Purdue University where she received her bachelor’s degree in interior design. She spent time working in Indiana, Chicago and Ann Arbor, MI primarily as a designer for health care facilities. Carol was involved with a collective gallery in Columbus, OH prior to her move to Park City in 2018. That gave her a love for meeting people and talking about her art.
With her move to Heber City in 2024, Carol can quickly access the beautiful landscape in and around her new home. Painting in the North Fields and along the irrigation canals are favorite spots.
Carol continues to study and observe other painters she admires by participating in workshops and independent study
Carol will lead us through her painting process from start to finish. We’re pleased to offer this meeting by Zoom through this link: Click HERE.
